Cookie-policy

What is a cookie?

Today, virtually all websites use cookies. In many cases, cookies are required to provide proper service on the website.

A cookie is a passive file that cannot collect information that is on your computer, or spread computer viruses, and other malware. A cookie allows us to recognize your computer and gather information about which pages and features are visited with your browser. Cookies cannot see who you are, your name, where you live, or if your computer is used by one or more people. It also cannot spread computer viruses or other malware.

Some cookies are only stored on your IT device as long as you have your browser open, so-called ‘session’ cookies. Other cookies are stored on your IT device for a long period of time, so-called ‘persistent’ cookies. When you return to a website, the cookie is typically renewed automatically.

Cookies are often stored from parties other than the owner of the website (third-party cookies). These can be general content cookies, or cookies with analytical tools and embedded comment fields.

How to avoid or remove cookies

How to delete or avoid the placement of cookies on your IT device, depends on your internet browser. FAFPI recommends that you search the Internet, for example on Google, and follow instructions as to how your browser handles cookies.
All Danish websites are required to inform the user about the use of cookies. The information must be in accordance with the ”Bekendtgørelse om krav til information og samtykke ved lagring af og adgang til oplysninger i slutbrugeres terminaludstyr” (in layman’s term, the Cookie Order).
